What happened
Wednesday was a rebound day. After dipping to about $75,600 near 03:00 UTC, Bitcoin was back around $78,300 by early morning in the U.S., with ether up 2% and DeFi tokens leading the gains (CoinDesk). CoinDesk called it a V-shaped comeback as uncertainty around the midterm results faded (CoinDesk).
The move kept going once U.S. stocks opened. Bitcoin touched $81,000 and spent the afternoon just above $80,000, while the Nasdaq, S&P 500 and Dow all rose about 2–3% and oil fell sharply (CoinDesk). The Block had Bitcoin up 3.5% at $80,500, ether up nearly 6% at $2,433, and Solana and XRP up about 2.5% (The Block).

What to watch on Nov 5
- The $76,000–$82,000 area. Analysts in the news pointed to $76,000–$78,000 below and $80,000–$82,000 above as the areas to watch (The Block, CoinDesk). The new Levels button shows where the price sits against the day's and week's range.
- Friday's U.S. jobs report (Nov 6), which CoinDesk flagged as the next big data point (CoinDesk).
- ETF flows. Wednesday's small inflow came after a run of outflows; a second day either way could set the tone.
- How jumpy it is. Options traders expected calmer prices after the election, but liquidations ran high. The speed badge on the chart shows when the market is moving faster than normal.
